IPTV and Smartiflix
What the service is, what every plan includes and what you need to watch.
What is IPTV?
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television: live channels, movies and series reach your screen over your internet connection instead of a cable line or a satellite dish. An app on your own television, phone or computer plays them.
What is Smartiflix?
Smartiflix is an IPTV service for homes in Canada. Every plan comes with a TV guide, 180K+ movies and series to play on demand and 61,000+ live premium channels, at prices in Canadian dollars.
What does every plan include?
One list, whatever the length: the live premium channels (61,000+ of them), the movies and series (180K+), the TV guide (EPG), 4K where a channel has it, Anti-Freeze 9.8 technology, automatic updates and round-the-clock support, the last two free. Length and number of devices are what set plans apart.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
No. There is no contract and no minimum number of months. You pay for the length you choose, and when it ends you renew, change plan or stop.
Do I need a technician, a dish or special equipment?
No. Nothing is installed in your home and no equipment is supplied. You install an IPTV player app on your own device and our message gives you the details to put in it.
What do I need to start watching?
Four things: a device, a stable internet connection, an IPTV player app and your Smartiflix access details. The access details are sent to you once your order is confirmed.
Does Smartiflix supply the app?
No. You choose and install the IPTV player yourself: XCIPTV, IBO Player, IPTV Smarters Pro, Kodi, Smart IPTV or TiviMate, or another one built for M3U and Xtream Codes. If the app has a price, that is between you and its developer; your plan does not include it.

Plans and prices
The four plan lengths, what they cost for one device and how they compare.
Which plans can I choose from?
Four lengths: Starter for 1 month, Standard for 3 months, Express for 6 months and Premium for 12 months. The 12 month plan adds 30 free days, and any of them covers 1, 2, 3 or 4 devices, as you choose.
How much does a plan cost?
For one device: $20 for 1 month, $51 for 3 months, $66 for 6 months and $98 for 12 months, all in Canadian dollars. With 2, 3 or 4 devices the price changes; the pricing page has the full table.
Do I pay in Canadian dollars?
Yes. Every price on the site is in Canadian dollars (CAD), and that is the currency you pay in.
Which plan costs the least per month?
The longest one. Counted per month on one device, the 12 month plan comes to $8.17, the 6 month plan to $11.00, the 3 month plan to $17.00 and the monthly plan to $20.00.
How much do I save with the annual plan?
Twelve months of the monthly plan on one device come to $240, while the annual plan costs $98: $142 less, or 59%. On top of that, the annual plan has 30 free days, 395 in all.
Do the plans differ in channels or quality?
No. Every plan carries the same channels, the same on demand library and the same features. What you choose is a length and a device count, nothing else.
Can I start with one month and move to a longer plan?
Yes. Start with one month, and when it ends the renewal form lets you choose any plan, so you can move to three, six or twelve months without starting again.

Free trial
Watching before paying: what the trial is, how long it lasts and how to ask for it.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can try the service before you choose a plan. The trial costs nothing and its form asks for no payment details.
How long does the free trial last?
6, 12 or 24 hours. The trials of each length are limited every day, so the one you receive depends on what is left when we send your access; the free trial page gives the daily numbers.
How many devices does the free trial cover?
One. Paid plans can be ordered for 1, 2, 3 or 4 devices.
How do I get my trial access?
Fill in the trial form with your device, your app and how you want to be contacted: WhatsApp, Telegram or email. We send the trial access there, and you enter it in your IPTV app.
What happens when the trial ends?
It simply stops. Nothing is charged, because the trial never asks for payment details. To keep watching, choose a plan.
Should I take a trial or go straight to a month?
A trial is a quick, free look at the picture and at how your app behaves. A month is a longer test, with evenings, weekends and everyone at home using it. You can do both, the trial first.
I do not have an IPTV app yet. Can I still ask for a trial?
Yes. Choose "I don't have one yet" on the form and tell us your device. Support will help you get started.

Ordering and payment
From the order form to your access details: what happens, when, and what you pay.
How do I order a plan?
Choose a plan, open its order form and complete it: who you are, how to reach you, and which device and app you will watch on. Nothing is charged when you send it.
Am I charged when I send the order form?
No. The form takes no payment. We contact you first to confirm the order and agree the payment method.
How do I pay for my plan?
By debit or credit card, PayPal, cryptocurrency or Western Union. Which one is settled with you in the message we send 5 to 15 minutes after your order form, when the order itself is confirmed. Nothing is paid on the website.
How quickly do I get access?
Our first message leaves 5 to 15 minutes after your order form reaches us. Once the order is confirmed, your M3U playlist and Xtream Codes login are sent to you, and you can watch as soon as you have entered them in your app.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 48 hours of activating your subscription, or within 7 days of paying if you have not activated it. The full amount goes back to the payment method you used, as the refund policy sets out.
How will you contact me after I order?
By the method you choose on the order form: WhatsApp, Telegram or email.
Do I get a confirmation of my order?
Yes. A confirmation email is sent to the address you enter, with your order reference. Keep it: it is the quickest way for support to find your order.
Can I change the number of devices before I send the order?
Yes. The order form shows the number of devices and lets you change it without filling in your details again.
What are my access details?
Two things: the address of an M3U playlist, and an Xtream Codes login made up of a server address with your username and password. You enter them once in your IPTV app. Keep the message they arrive in, because the renewal form asks for your username.
Renewing and changing plan
What to do when a plan is about to end, and how to change its length or its number of devices.
How does renewing a plan work?
Fill in the renewal form with your username and the plan you want next. We send you a payment link, and your renewal is activated once it is paid.
What happens if I do not renew?
Nothing. There is no contract, so a plan that is not renewed simply ends on its last day.
Can I change plan when I renew?
Yes. The renewal form lets you keep the plan you have or choose a different length and a different number of devices.
Where do I find my username?
In the message with your access details. It is the username of your Xtream Codes login, and the renewal form asks for it exactly as you received it.
When should I renew?
Before the end date, so that there is no gap. A few days ahead is enough.

Devices and apps
Smartiflix is compatible with every device and every IPTV player app. These are the questions people ask about them.
Which devices does Smartiflix work on?
On all of them: if an IPTV player app runs on it, so does Smartiflix. The most requested are televisions (a Smart TV from LG or Samsung, or any set with Google TV, Android TV, a MAG box, an Apple TV, a Firestick or a Fire TV), tablets and phones (the iPad, the iPhone and Android models), and computers (Mac and Windows), and, beyond those, anything an IPTV player can be installed on.
My device is not on the list. Will it work?
Yes, provided an IPTV player can be installed on it and that player reads M3U playlists or Xtream Codes. If you are not sure, tell support which device you have.
Which IPTV player apps work with Smartiflix?
All of them, so long as they take an M3U playlist or Xtream Codes. Our order form offers Kodi, IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, XCIPTV, Smart IPTV or IBO Player, and a player you already like will do just as well.
Should I use Xtream Codes or the M3U playlist?
Use Xtream Codes when the app offers it: live channels, movies and series then arrive in separate sections. Use the M3U playlist when the app only accepts a playlist. Both come with your plan.
Will I have to buy new equipment?
In most homes, no. The service runs in an IPTV player app, so a television with apps, a streaming stick, a phone or a computer you already have will do. A television that cannot install a player gets one through a stick in an HDMI port.
Is the player app free?
Some players are free and others charge after a trial period. That fee is set by the developer of the app and paid to them. Your Smartiflix plan neither includes it nor changes it.
How can I tell what system my television uses?
The start-up screen, the About page in the settings and the box all say it. Samsung sets use Tizen and LG sets use webOS; other makers sell models with Google TV, Fire TV or Roku TV. The Smart TV guide helps you match yours.
Should I use the TV's own app or add a streaming stick?
If Fire TV, Google TV or Android TV is the system of your television, it needs nothing more. On other systems a stick usually offers more players, keeps being updated and can follow you to your next television.
Do some TV brands get fewer channels?
No. Your plan carries one lineup and one library on every device. What changes with the brand is the choice of player apps and the way you enter your details.
Is there a guide for Mac?
Not yet. The service does work on a Mac, and support will walk you through it if you tell them which Mac you have. The Windows guide shows the same kind of players on a PC.

Setting up, device by device
The questions that come up while installing a player and entering your details, for the most requested devices. Each device has a full guide.
Firestick
Firestick guideDoes the service run on older and newer Firesticks alike?
Yes. Old or new, HD or 4K, stick, Cube or a television that has Fire TV inside: the setup is one and the same, a player app, a stable connection and your access details.
Where has Developer Options gone on my Firestick?
It is hidden until you unlock it. Go to Settings, My Fire TV, About, and with your device name highlighted press the Select button seven times. Back out, and Developer Options appears in My Fire TV.
Is a 4K Firestick worth it for IPTV?
Only with a 4K television and channels broadcast in 4K, on a connection fast enough to carry them. For HD channels the HD stick does the job.
Why does my Firestick buffer in the evening?
Usually because of Wi-Fi. More devices are online at night, and a stick tucked behind the TV gets a weak signal. The HDMI extender, the 5 GHz band or a wired Ethernet adapter each help; support takes over if none does.
Android TV
Android TV guideAre Android TV and Google TV set up the same way?
Yes. Google TV is a newer home screen over Android TV. Both install the same players from the Play Store, and your details go in the same place.
Should I sideload a player on Android TV?
Rarely. The Play Store has most players. Sideloading is the exception, for a player the store does not offer on your model, and in that case take the file from the developer and nowhere else.
Apple TV
Apple TV guideCan Apple TV run a player from outside the App Store?
No, only App Store apps install on it. If yours is missing, pick another player that takes Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist, or start the channel on an iPhone or iPad and pass it to the television with AirPlay.
How do I avoid typing my login with the Apple TV remote?
Use your iPhone. If it shares an Apple Account with the Apple TV, its keyboard is offered whenever the box asks for text; the Apple TV Remote in Control Centre gives you a keyboard too.
Will I get 4K on an Apple TV?
Only on the Apple TV 4K, only for channels that are sent in 4K, and only if your connection keeps up. HD is what most live channels use. The Apple TV HD, the older model, stops at HD.
Samsung TV
Samsung TV guideMy Samsung player shows a code. What do I do with it?
That code identifies your television. Go to the website of the app on another device, give it the code and attach your M3U playlist to it. Restart the app on the television and the playlist loads.
Can I run an Android player on a Samsung television?
Not on the TV itself, which uses Tizen and installs only from the Samsung store. An Android TV or Fire TV stick in one of the HDMI ports is the way: the Android player goes on the stick.
Do I have to set everything up again on a new Samsung TV?
With a player that uses a web portal, yes: each television has a code of its own and the playlist belongs to the old one, so add it again under the new code. With a login player or a stick, you just sign in again.
LG TV
LG TV guideWhere do I find IPTV players for an LG television?
In the LG Content Store, and nowhere else. What it offers depends on the age of the model and on the region. If nothing suitable is listed, a streaming stick in an HDMI port opens up a far wider choice.
How do I enter my details on an LG player?
Look at what the app shows when it first opens. Either it has fields for an Xtream Codes login, which you type on the television, or it displays a code, and then the M3U playlist is added from another device on the website of the app.
When does a stick make sense on an LG TV?
When your model has no player you like, when you want one that exists only for Android, or when you want the same setup on several televisions. Otherwise the LG store is enough.
Roku
Roku guideWhy is there no IPTV player for Roku?
Because Roku decides what runs on it. Apps come from the Roku store alone, nothing can be added from outside, and IPTV players have not lasted in that store. The limit is on the Roku side; your plan works on every other device.
How do I watch on a television that has a Roku?
Keep the Roku for what you already use it for, and put a second stick, Fire TV or Android TV, on a free HDMI port. Screen mirroring, or AirPlay on Roku models that support it, also puts the picture on that television.
Is a Roku TV any different from a Roku stick?
No. A television with Roku built in cannot install an IPTV player either. Its HDMI ports are the way round: a streaming stick plugged into one behaves as it would on any television.
iPhone and iPad
iPhone and iPad guideHow do I send the picture from my iPhone to the TV?
With AirPlay, if the television supports it or has an Apple TV attached. Some players also cast to Chromecast and Google TV devices. Phone and television have to share one Wi-Fi network.
Can I sign in on my iPhone and my iPad?
Yes, the same details work in a player on both. How many can play at once is set by your plan: on a plan for one device, watch on one at a time.
How do I keep mobile data under control?
Video uses data fast. Prefer Wi-Fi. Away from it, choose a lower quality in the player, and look at what is left of your allowance before a long session.
Windows
Windows guideWhat is the quickest way to test my details on a PC?
VLC. In its Media menu choose Open Network Stream, paste the address of your M3U playlist and press Play. It is free and takes a minute; for daily viewing a dedicated player is more comfortable, since VLC shows a bare channel list and hardly any guide.
Which players does the Microsoft Store have?
MyIPTV Player and Kodi are both listed there. Before installing one, read its description and make sure M3U playlists or Xtream Codes are mentioned.
Should my computer be on Wi-Fi or on a cable?
Cable, whenever the room allows it: a wired link is the steadier of the two. If it has to be wireless, pick the 5 GHz network and keep the computer near the router.

Picture and connection
What the picture needs from your home network, and what to check when something looks wrong.
What internet connection does IPTV need?
A stable one above all, because a live channel cannot be loaded in advance. A faster connection helps for 4K and when several screens are on at once.
Can I watch in 4K?
Yes, where a channel is broadcast in 4K; otherwise in HD, FHD or UHD. For 4K the screen has to be a 4K one as well, and the connection quick enough for it.
The picture stutters or buffers. What can I do?
Start with your home network. Connect the television or streaming box to the router with an Ethernet cable if you can. On Wi-Fi, move the device closer to the router and use the 5 GHz band. If it continues, contact support with the name of your device and app.
My login is refused. What should I check?
Type the three parts of the login again, character for character. Capital letters matter, and a space left at the end is enough to make a login fail.
The TV guide is empty. What should I do?
Give it time: the guide can take a few minutes to arrive after you first sign in. If it stays empty, the settings of your player have an option to refresh it.
What is the TV guide (EPG)?
The programme schedule of every channel, shown inside your app: what is on at the moment and what is due after it. It is included in every plan.

Several screens
Plans for more than one device: how many, what each screen gets and how to change the number.
Can one plan be used on several devices at once?
Yes. A plan can have as many as 4 devices, all of them playing at the same time, each on a channel or a film of its own. The plans for two devices and more have a page to themselves.
Can I use my plan on more than one of my own devices?
Yes. Your subscription works on your phone, your computer, your tablet or your television. A plan for one device plays on one screen at a time, so you sign in again on the device you move to. To watch on several screens at once, order a plan for that number of devices. A subscription is personal and cannot be shared with other people.
How do I work out how many devices to order?
Count the screens your household watches on at its busiest moment. That number, and not the number of people, is the size of the plan.
Is one plan for several devices cheaper than a plan each?
Yes, at every length. The comparison, length by length and screen by screen, is set out in a table.
Does every device on a plan get the full service?
Yes. What a device can watch, and in what quality, does not change from one device of the plan to the next.
Can a plan combine a television, a phone and a computer?
Yes. Kinds of device can be mixed freely on one plan. Each of them needs an IPTV player app of its own.
Can the number of devices change once I have a plan?
You set it again at each renewal, together with the length, so it can rise or fall when the current plan ends.
Do several screens need a stronger internet connection?
They need more of it, because each screen that plays draws a stream of its own. Put the main television on a cable and the wireless network has only the phones and tablets to serve.

Sports and hockey
The featured leagues, how to find a game and what a game night needs.
Which sports and leagues does Smartiflix feature?
The featured sports and leagues are NHL hockey, NBA basketball, MLB baseball, NFL and CFL football, MLS and European soccer (Champions League, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A), Formula 1 racing, UFC and boxing. All of them come with every plan, whatever its length.
Is hockey an extra on top of my plan?
No. There is a single lineup, identical in every plan, and hockey is part of it. Your only choices are a length and a number of devices.
Does Smartiflix carry the NHL?
Yes. It is among the 13 sports and leagues that Smartiflix features, and its games are on the live channels that come with every plan. The hockey page explains how to follow a season.
Do the playoffs need a different plan?
No. The same plan takes you from the regular season into the playoffs, as long as it is still running. With a short plan, look at its end date before a series starts.
Where do I see which channel has the game?
In the TV guide of your player app. Each channel has its programmes listed there in order, so the channel and the start time are both in front of you.
What keeps a live game from freezing?
Mostly your own connection, because live sport cannot be loaded ahead of time. A cable from the router to the television is the steadiest arrangement. Every plan also includes Anti-Freeze 9.8 technology, and support answers at any hour.
Can I watch the game away from the television?
Yes, on a phone or a tablet with an IPTV player: same channels, same guide. On mobile data, watch your allowance, since live video uses a great deal of it.
Which length fits a full hockey season?
Twelve months. A season with its playoffs runs for more than half a year, and the annual plan lasts 395 days, so it covers one from start to finish. On one device it is $98 CAD, or $8.17 per month.
Can I add a screen for the playoffs?
At renewal, yes. You can pick a different length or number of devices then, for instance one more device while two series are being played on the same nights.
Can two people watch different games at the same moment?
Yes, if the plan covers more than one device. Each device can show a different channel at the same time.

Across Canada
The same service, plans and prices from coast to coast.
Does Smartiflix work in my province or territory?
Yes. It works the same way in all 13 provinces and territories. The plans and the prices in Canadian dollars are identical everywhere, and where you live plays no part in activation.
Are prices different from one province to another?
No. Every province and territory has the same plans at the same prices in Canadian dollars.
Does it work in a small town or a rural area?
It depends on your internet connection, not on where you live. If your broadband is stable, the service works. A free trial on your own screen is the simplest way to check.
I rent my home. Does anything have to be installed?
No. Nobody drills, mounts or wires anything, and no equipment is handed over. The only thing installed is an app, on a device that is already yours.
Is support available in my time zone?
Yes. Support runs 24/7, so it is available at any hour in every Canadian time zone.

Reseller program
Selling the service under your own brand: credits, packages and the control panel.
Does Smartiflix have a reseller program?
Yes. You buy a package of 120, 180 or 240 credits and sell the service under your own brand, at the price you choose. A credit pays for a month of service for one of your customers.
What do the reseller packages cost?
$495 CAD for 120 credits, $743 CAD for 180 credits and $989 CAD for 240 credits. A credit comes to between $4.12 and $4.13, whichever size you take.
How far does one credit go?
One month, for one customer, on one connection. Three months take three credits and a year takes twelve.
Is there a deadline for using credits?
No. Credits never expire, so a package can be used up as slowly or as quickly as your sales go.
What does a second connection cost in credits?
The same again. Every connection draws its own credits, so a customer with two connections for a year uses 24.
Which payment methods are accepted for a package?
PayPal, cryptocurrency or card. The order form takes no payment: the package is gone over with you before anything is paid.
Can I get my money back on credits?
Yes, within 48 hours of buying them and as long as no customer is active yet. Past that point credits are not refundable.
Does a bigger package bring a discount?
Hardly. From one package to another the price of a credit changes by less than a cent, so choose by the volume you expect to sell, not by the price per credit.
Whose name do my customers see?
Yours. The panel is white label and every package lets you sell under your own brand, at your own price. The Smartiflix name is not to be used.
Who is in charge of the customers I bring?
You are. Who buys from you, for how many months and whether they renew is yours to manage. Billing them and answering their questions is your side of the business.
What does the reseller panel let me do?
Add and remove users, renew them, create a free 24 hour trial, buy plans, add connections and see which are active, manage MAG and Enigma devices, and edit the channel groups of a line.
How is the panel protected?
By a Captcha on its login, which blocks unwanted sign-ins to your account.
Can my customers try before they pay me?
Yes. From the panel you create a free trial that runs for 24 hours on their own device.
Is the lineup for resellers the full one?
Yes. Your customers receive the same live channels, on demand library and TV guide as people who buy from Smartiflix directly.
Can I see the service before buying a package?
Yes, with the free trial, which plays on one device. What you watch in it is what your customers would get.
Is a reseller the same as an affiliate?
No. An affiliate refers buyers to another company for a commission. A reseller pays for credits up front and sells the service as their own, keeping the customers and setting the prices.
What do I do when I have used all my credits?
Order another package, of any size. Since a credit costs nearly the same in all three, nothing ties your next order to the size of the last.
How do I order a reseller package?
Pick a package on the reseller page; each has an order form of its own. Sending it costs nothing. We then get in touch about the package, and payment follows by PayPal, cryptocurrency or card.

Support and contact
How to reach us, when, and what to have at hand.
How can I contact Smartiflix?
By WhatsApp, on Telegram at @smartiflixsuppor or by email at info@smartiflix.com. The contact page also has a form, and the round button at the bottom left of every page opens the three channels.
When is support available?
At any hour. Support is free, included with every plan and available 24/7.
What should I tell support when something does not work?
Which device and app you use and what you see on the screen. With that, the team knows where to start.
I have a question before I order. Who do I ask?
Use the contact form and choose the topic that fits: a new subscription, a renewal, setup help or becoming a reseller. You can also message us directly.
