Why Smartiflix

Why Ontario households choose Smartiflix

The same service in a Toronto condo and a house in Thunder Bay, with prices in Canadian dollars and help at any hour.

63,000+ active subscribers

Ontario is the most populous province in Canada and one of the largest, so a TV service has to suit a downtown tower as well as a quiet road hours from the city. Smartiflix travels over the internet connection you already have: where your broadband is stable, the service is the same. One set of plans covers the whole province, and your IPTV Ontario plan carries the same channels, movies and features wherever you live. Here is what that gives you.

  • One price across the province

A plan costs the same in Toronto, Ottawa, Windsor or Sudbury, and the same as in the rest of Canada. The price list is written in Canadian dollars and so is your bill; a month on one device opens it at $20 CAD. Your postal code changes nothing.

  • No dish, no technician

Cable needs a line and satellite needs a dish. Smartiflix needs neither: live channels and on demand titles reach your TV, phone or computer through an app, over your home internet. There is no installation visit to book.

  • The full lineup in every plan

Whatever length you pick, the content is identical: the 61,000+ live premium channels, the 180K+ movies and series of the on demand library, a TV guide, a picture that goes up to 4K, and Anti-Freeze 9.8 technology. Length moves the price and nothing else.

  • Room for every screen at home

The living room, the basement and a bedroom do not have to agree. Ask for 2, 3 or 4 devices instead of one when you fill in the order form, and every one of those screens plays its own channel. Our guide to plans for several devices goes through the details.

  • Help at any hour, in both time zones

Most of Ontario keeps Eastern Time and the far northwest keeps Central Time. Support covers both around the clock: the team answers by WhatsApp or email 24/7, free with every plan. Get in touch whenever you need to.

  • No contract, and a trial first

There is nothing to sign and no commitment beyond the plan you pick. Would you rather see the service before paying? A free trial is there for that, at no cost and with no payment details to hand over.

63,000+ active subscribers already watch with Smartiflix. When you are ready to join them, the plans are just above: pick a length, say how many devices you want and submit the form. No money moves at that stage.

Toronto and the GTA

IPTV Toronto: one plan for the city and the GTA

Canada's largest city and the cities around it get the full Smartiflix lineup, with nothing to install but an app.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada, and the Greater Toronto Area takes in Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Oakville and Oshawa. Wherever you are in it, IPTV Toronto with Smartiflix means the same thing: 61,000+ live premium channels, with 180K+ movies and series beside them to play when you like, all of it carried by your internet connection into an app on the TV, the phone or the computer.

City living suits it well. In a condo there is no dish to put up and nobody to book for an installation. In a busy family home, a plan for several devices lets the living room, the basement and a bedroom watch different things at once; our page about plans for several devices explains how. Prices are in Canadian dollars and identical to the rest of the province.

Toronto is also a sports city, with home teams in the NHL, NBA, MLB, CFL and MLS, and all five leagues are featured on Smartiflix. A glance at the TV guide tells you what is playing and what follows, so finding the game takes a moment. The sports page covers every league.

How it works

Start watching in Ontario in 3 steps

Three short steps take you from the order form to your first channel. The form itself is free to send, and our answer comes back within 5 to 15 minutes.

  1. Choose your plan and devices

Select your plan above, tell us on the order form whether you want 1, 2, 3 or 4 devices and submit it. You pay nothing yet.

    Nothing charged yet
  2. We confirm by message

Within 5 to 15 minutes you get a message from our team, on WhatsApp or email, that confirms the order and settles with you how you will pay.

    5 to 15 minutes
  3. Enter your details and watch

The access details follow by the same route: one in M3U playlist form, the other as an Xtream Codes login. Type either into your IPTV app and the channels open.

    M3U or Xtream Codes

The order form takes no payment.

Sports

Home leagues for Ontario fans

Ontario has teams in five of the featured leagues on Smartiflix: the NHL, the NBA, MLB, the CFL and MLS. The rest of the lineup is there as well, from the NFL and European soccer to boxing, UFC and Formula 1. The TV guide lists the game in progress and the one after it; from there it is one tap on the channel in your app.

Game nights rarely line up neatly. Hockey, basketball and baseball can all be on at the same hour, and a home with more than one fan will want more than one screen. That is what the device count is for: any plan can cover up to 4 screens. The picture runs from HD to 4K where available, and all of it is included whatever length you choose.

Your home

A plan for every kind of Ontario home

A condo, a family house, a shared place near campus or a home far from the city: the service is the same, and only the plan that suits you changes.

  • A condo in the city

No dish on the balcony and no installer to let into the building. One device on the living room TV is often all a condo needs, and every plan starts there.

    See the plans
  • A family home

Different rooms, different tastes. Put 2, 3 or 4 devices on the same plan and each viewer gets a screen of their own, with all of them playing together.

    Plans for several devices
  • A shared house or student place

No contract and no long commitment. The monthly plan starts at $20 CAD with one device, and you decide each month whether to renew.

Whichever home is yours, ordering works the same way: choose a plan, set the number of devices and send the form. No charge is made on sending; first we confirm the order with you by WhatsApp or email, and payment comes after that.

Switching

Leaving cable or satellite in Ontario? Check these first

Moving your TV to the internet is simple, but a few minutes of checking will save you surprises. Work through the list before you cancel anything.

  1. Read your current provider's terms

Ask what cancelling involves and when it takes effect. If your TV and internet come in one package, ask how dropping the TV part changes your internet service, because you will still need that connection.

  2. Look at your internet connection

Every channel and every movie comes down your home broadband, which makes a steady line the one thing you cannot do without. Extra speed is welcome if you want 4K or if several people will stream at the same time.

  3. Check the screens you own

The service runs on MAG boxes, Mac and Windows computers, Android tablets and phones, the iPad and the iPhone, Apple TV, Smart TVs by LG and Samsung, Google TV and Android TV devices, the Fire TV and the Firestick, plus any device not named here that runs an IPTV player. Each of them needs an IPTV app able to read a playlist in M3U format or to sign in through Xtream Codes; you install it yourself, TiviMate, XCIPTV, IPTV Smarters Pro, IBO Player, Kodi or Smart IPTV being common choices, because no app is supplied.

  4. Try it on your main TV

Request a free trial and watch on the screen you use most, at the hours you normally watch. It is the simplest way to judge the picture, the TV guide and the app on your own connection.

  5. Keep your old service until you are sure

Order your plan, set it up and live with it for a few days. Once it does what you need, deal with your old provider. There is no contract with Smartiflix, so the choice stays yours.

  • Try before you switch

The trial is free and the request form does not ask how you would pay. Spend it on your own screen and your own connection, and only then make up your mind.

    Start a free trial
  • Step by step on every device

The setup guide walks through each device, and Firestick owners have a page of their own.

Find your fit

Which plan length suits your home?

Every IPTV Ontario plan includes the same channels, movies and features. The choice is how long it runs, and longer plans cost less for each month.

Look at the cost per month and the pattern is clear. With one device, Starter, the monthly plan, comes to $20.00. Standard brings that down to $17.00 and Express to $11.00. Premium, the annual plan, is the lowest of all: over its 12 paid months it works out at $8.17, with 30 days free besides. Every figure is in Canadian dollars and for a single device.

Seen over a year, a household that renews Starter every month on one device pays $240. The annual plan costs $98 for the same device, which is $142 less, or 59%, with one payment instead of a renewal every month. Not ready to commit to a year? Start with a single month and change plan when it ends.

Before you order

IPTV Ontario: questions before you order

What people across the province ask before they order, from coverage and prices to devices, sports and support. Something missing? The team reads WhatsApp or email around the clock, so ask.

Does Smartiflix work everywhere in Ontario?

Yes. The service travels over your home internet, so it is available in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Windsor, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and everywhere in between. Activation does not depend on your postal code, and every IPTV Ontario plan has the same price in every part of the province. What you need is a compatible device, an app and a stable broadband connection. The region explorer on this page lists the main cities of each part of Ontario and its local time.

Does it cover Toronto and the whole GTA?

Yes. IPTV Toronto with Smartiflix covers the city and the rest of the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Oakville and Oshawa. A downtown condo and a house in the suburbs get the same plans at the same Canadian dollar prices. Nobody comes to fit a dish or pull a cable: the service needs your existing internet line and an app, and that is all.

Are prices in Ontario different from the rest of Canada?

No. There is a single Smartiflix price list, written in Canadian dollars, and Ontario reads from it like every other province. On one device, Starter is $20 CAD for its month and Premium is $98 CAD for its 395 days. The charge is made in CAD, which leaves no exchange rate to think about. If you are comparing from another province, the IPTV Canada page covers the whole country.

Do I need a technician, a dish or a cable line?

No. The letters IPTV mean Internet Protocol Television, which is a plain way of saying that channels and on demand titles reach you through your internet connection, where cable uses its own line and satellite a dish. All it takes is an app on a device you already have, plus the access details we send. Nothing has to be mounted or wired, and nobody needs to visit your home, which makes it easy in a condo, a rented place or a house.

What do I need to get started?

Four things: a compatible device, a stable broadband connection, an IPTV app and your Smartiflix access details. It works on big screens (Samsung and LG Smart TVs, or a television with Fire TV or a Firestick, with Google TV or Android TV, with a MAG box or an Apple TV) and small ones (Android phones and tablets, the iPhone, the iPad, Mac and Windows laptops), and on any other device an IPTV player app installs on. You pick the app yourself: any of IPTV Smarters Pro, Smart IPTV, Kodi, TiviMate, XCIPTV or IBO Player does the job, and so does every other player that takes Xtream Codes details or an M3U address. The access details come from us, by WhatsApp or email, after the order has been confirmed. For the steps on your device, open the setup guide.

I live in a small town or a rural area. Will it work?

Where you live is not what decides it; your internet line is. Activation is not tied to your postal code, so a home in cottage country or the north orders exactly like one in the city. What matters is that your broadband is stable. If you have doubts, a free trial lets you judge it at home before any money is spent. An Ethernet cable between the router and the TV or streaming box can help the picture stay steady too.

Can several people watch at the same time in one home?

Yes, as long as the plan covers more than one device. Any plan can be taken for up to 4, and each device then runs its own stream, independent of the others. The count is one of the fields of the order form. The plan cards here are priced for a single device; for 2, 3 or 4, look at the pricing page. With several streams running at once, a faster connection helps.

Which sports can I follow from Ontario?

Every plan features six North American leagues (NHL, NBA, NFL, CFL, MLB, MLS), five European competitions (Champions League, Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga), and Formula 1, boxing and UFC. Ontario has teams in five of those leagues, the NHL, NBA, MLB, CFL and MLS. Check the TV guide for the games being played and the ones scheduled after them, and yours is quick to find. The sports page goes through each league, and hockey has a page of its own.

Does support work on Ontario time?

Support works at every hour, so the time zone never gets in the way. Most of Ontario keeps Eastern Time and the far northwest, around Kenora, keeps Central Time; the team answers 24/7 in both, by WhatsApp or email. Support is free and included with every plan. Mention your device, the app on it and what the screen is showing, and the team picks it up from there.

How and when do I pay?

After the order has been confirmed, never before. The order form is free to send. Our message reaches you on WhatsApp or email inside 5 to 15 minutes; in it we confirm what you ordered and work out with you how you would like to pay. Every price is a Canadian dollar price and the charge is made in CAD. With the payment done, the M3U playlist and the Xtream Codes login are sent to you on that same channel. Start with the plans on this page.

Is there a contract, and which plan should I pick?

There is no contract. A plan covers a set number of days and stops there; renewing is a decision you take at the end, not an obligation. Starter lasts a month, Standard three, Express six and Premium a year with 30 days free. Longer plans cost less per month: Premium works out at $8.17 with one device. For a household that will still be watching a year from now, the annual plan, our most popular, is the natural pick.

How do I renew when my plan ends?

Open the renewal form, enter your username and choose the plan for the next period; it can be a different one from before. A payment link then comes to you by WhatsApp or email, and the renewal starts when that link has been paid. Keep the message with your access details, because the form asks for your username. Renewing is also the natural moment to trade monthly payments for a longer plan.

Ready to start your IPTV Ontario plan?

A month costs $20 CAD and the annual Premium plan brings each month down to $8.17, in Thunder Bay as in Toronto. The order form takes no payment: you send it, and inside 5 to 15 minutes we are back to you on WhatsApp or email.
