Just one screen in the house? Its prices live on the pricing page.

How it works

How multi screen IPTV works

You order once, for the number of screens that will be on together. Everything else is the ordinary service, multiplied.

A plan sized by screens, not by people

A regular plan lets one device play at a time. Order that plan for two, three or 4 devices instead, and that many can play together. That is all a multi screen plan is: the usual service with a bigger number written on the order.

The number counts screens that are on at once, not the people who live in the house. Six people who gather around one television need a plan for one device. Two people who never agree on a channel need a plan for two.

Everything around that number stays as it was. You still pick one of four lengths, from a month to a year, pay one price and get one end date. Smartiflix sells nothing called a family package, so when someone asks about an IPTV family plan, this is the answer: a normal plan, taken for the screens your family really uses.

Each screen runs on its own

The screens of a plan do not take turns, and they do not mirror one another. While the television shows a live match, a tablet can be halfway through a film and a phone can be flicking through the news channels.

Pausing, changing channel or closing the app on one device does nothing to the rest. Each has its own guide to browse, with the current show and the one after it, so looking ahead never disturbs another viewer.

The complete service reaches every one of them: all 61,000+ live channels, plus an on demand shelf of 180K+ films and series. No screen is the main one, and none is a cut down copy.

Picture quality is not rationed either. A device able to show 4K receives 4K on the channels broadcast that way and HD, FHD or UHD on the others, whether it is the first screen of the plan or the fourth. Anti-Freeze 9.8 technology belongs to the plan at any size.

Old devices, new devices, one plan

A plan does not care what its screens are made of. A television with apps built in, a stick plugged into an older set, a box under the bedroom TV, a tablet, a phone and a laptop are all counted alike: one device each while they are playing.

What each of them needs is an IPTV player, the app that turns your access details into channels. Smartiflix does not provide that app. You install one able to open an M3U link or to sign in with Xtream Codes, and the players on your various devices are free to be different products.

If a device is new to you, the setup guides walk through the most requested ones, and support helps with any other.

Counting your screens honestly

The usual mistake is to count gadgets. Count moments instead. Think back to the last evening when everybody was home, and ask how many screens were showing television in the same minute.

That peak is your number. A large family that always ends up in front of one television peaks at one. A smaller household with two sports fans and a teenager can peak at three every weekend.

If the peak arrives only a few times a year, over the holidays or during a long tournament, order for the ordinary weeks and raise the number at your next renewal. Each renewal lets you name a new number.

The price rewards a careful count. On the annual plan a screen works out to $7.38 per month when two share the plan, $6.89 when three do and $6.63 when four do, compared with $8.17 for a device on its own.

What your home network has to carry

Television over the internet arrives as one stream for each screen. Two screens mean two streams through one router, and four mean four. The plan allows it; your broadband has to keep up with it.

Give the best connection to the screen people gather around. A network cable between the router and the main television takes that stream off the Wi-Fi altogether, which helps the wireless devices as much as the television.

For everything else, distance decides. A tablet two rooms from the router struggles where the same tablet beside it would not, and over a short distance the 5 GHz band of a modern router carries video better than the older band.

When all the screens are on and one picture starts to break up, drop a 4K stream to HD before blaming anything else. An HD stream asks far less of the line, and that is often enough to steady the others.

Changing your mind later

The number you order is not a lifelong commitment. The renewal form asks for a number of devices and a length afresh, so a house that has grown can add a screen and a house that has emptied can drop one.

That is a good argument for a short first plan when you are unsure. A month for two devices shows quickly whether two is enough. If it is not, the next plan is for three, and all you spent on finding out was a few weeks.

One thing cannot be sized up: the free trial plays on a single device. It answers the questions that do not depend on the count, such as how the channels look on your television and how your connection copes. Ask for the trial first if the service is new to you.

One plan or several

One shared plan, or a plan for each screen?

You could cover three screens with three separate plans. The table shows why nobody should.

Begin with a year. A single device costs $98 CAD. Covering a second screen with a second plan would bring the total to $196 CAD; ordering one plan for two devices brings it to $177 CAD. At four screens the distance grows: $392 CAD as four plans, $318 CAD as one.

Look at it screen by screen and the pattern repeats at every length: a screen added to an existing plan never costs what a first screen costs. On the monthly plan, the second device adds $17 CAD to a first one priced at $20 CAD.

Money aside, separate plans drift apart. Bought on different days, they end on different days, and somebody has to remember each of them. A shared plan has one end date and one renewal for the whole house.

Why one plan

Six reasons households pick multi screen IPTV

IPTV for multiple devices is less about technology than about evenings without negotiation.

63,000+ active subscribers

A house with one screen and four viewers has a scheduling problem. A multi screen IPTV plan removes it for a few dollars per screen. Here is what those dollars buy.

  • Cheaper than plans bought one by one

A year for two devices is $177 CAD. Two separate years would be $196 CAD.

  • No more turns

Every device plays what its viewer picked, in the same minute as the others. The remote stops being a prize.

  • Nothing held back

The fourth screen opens the channels and the library that the first one opens. There is no junior tier.

  • Last year's TV, an older tablet

A television bought recently and a tablet bought years ago sit on one plan, each with the player app that suits it.

  • One date on the calendar

All the screens start together and end together, which leaves a single renewal to think about.

  • Room to grow or shrink

Households change. At each renewal the number of devices is yours to set again, up or down.

All six come with every plan on this page, whichever number of screens and whichever length you settle on.

Households

Four homes, four ways to use it

The arithmetic is identical everywhere. The evenings are not.

  • The couple with two favourites

One of you is three seasons into a drama and the other will not miss kickoff. With two devices on the plan the sofa hosts both at once: one on the television, one on a tablet with headphones.

    Plans for two
  • The house with children

A cartoon before dinner, a documentary for a school project, a film for the parents once the house is quiet. Three or four screens let those overlap on the days when they must.

    Count your screens
  • The fan and everyone else

A playoff game runs long, and the rest of the house has no interest in overtime. A second screen keeps the game on to the final whistle while another room watches something else, and on a night with two games worth seeing it carries the other one.

    Live sport on Smartiflix
  • The big screen and the roaming one

Some homes only ever have one television, plus a phone or a laptop that follows its owner to the kitchen, the desk or the porch. Two devices cover both, and nobody has to carry the TV around.

    Set up each device

However your evenings look, each screen of the plan gets the whole service. All you decide is how many of them play together.

How many

Is your number two, three or four?

Each card gives the price of that number for a month and for a year, and what a single screen then costs.

How it works

Three steps from this page to every screen

Pick the size and the length, send the form, and expect a message from us 5 to 15 minutes later. The form itself takes no payment.

  1. Size the plan

Pick how many devices on the tabs above the plan cards, then a length. The form that opens already knows both, and lets you correct either.

    No payment on the form
  2. We check the order with you

A message from us (WhatsApp or email) follows 5 to 15 minutes after the form. We go through your order with you and sort out the payment.

    5 to 15 minutes
  3. Sign in, screen by screen

Type the access details we send into the player on each device of the plan. A screen is ready the moment its player accepts them.

    Up to 4 screens

The order form asks for your details, not for a payment.

Length

Choosing the length of a multi screen IPTV plan

Screens decide the price of the plan. Length decides the price of every month inside it.

The service inside a one month plan and inside a twelve month plan is identical, so compare them on a single figure: the cost of a month. With two devices it runs from $37.00 on the monthly plan, through $22.00 and $16.33 on the three and six month plans, down to $14.75 on the annual plan, which also adds 30 days free.

Stretch that over a year. Renewing the monthly plan for two devices twelve times costs $444 CAD. The annual plan covers those two screens for $177 CAD. For a household that already knows its number, paying by the month is an expensive way to be cautious.

Caution still has a use at the start. A single month is the cheapest experiment there is: it tells you whether your count of screens was right and whether your connection carries them, and both answers are worth having before a longer plan.

Setting up

Setting up several screens: a seven point plan

An hour on a quiet afternoon is enough to get every screen of the plan working.

  1. Write down your peak

Before ordering, note which screens were on together during your busiest evening this month. That list is both the size of your plan and the order in which to set things up.

  2. Put a player on every device

Each device needs an IPTV player of its own, installed from its app store. Check that the one you choose opens an M3U link or signs in with Xtream Codes, since Smartiflix supplies the access details and not the app.

  3. Begin with the screen everyone shares

Do the main television first and, if a cable can reach it, connect it to the router by wire. Should anything need adjusting, you find out on the screen that matters most.

  4. Move through the house

Take the remaining devices in turn: install, sign in, open a channel, confirm that it plays. The device guides list the exact buttons for the most requested ones.

  5. Run a full house test

Put something on every screen of the plan together and leave it for ten minutes. A picture that falters only now points to Wi-Fi reach or to the load on your line, not to the device.

  6. Decide which screens are in

A plan for three devices plays three streams at once. Agree which three they are on ordinary days, so that nobody is surprised when a fourth screen is left out.

  7. Mark the end date

Everything ends on one day. Put that day where the household will see it, and use it as the moment to ask whether the number of screens still suits you.

  • Device by device

Written guides for sticks, boxes, televisions, phones, tablets and computers, each with the steps for its own player apps.

Questions

Several screens on one plan: your questions

The things households want settled before they pick a number.

What is multi screen IPTV?

A single plan that lets more than one device play at once. At Smartiflix it means choosing a number from 1 to 4 when you order: the number of screens that may be on together, each with its own choice of channel or film.

What is the largest number of screens on one plan?

4. Any of the four plan lengths can be taken for that many devices, or for fewer.

Do the screens have to show the same thing?

No. Every device chooses for itself, live or on demand. Two of them can also land on one channel, and each then plays its own stream of it.

Is any screen limited compared with the others?

No. The lineup, the library, the guide and the picture quality on offer are identical on every device of the plan. The only differences come from the device itself, for example whether its screen can show 4K.

Does Smartiflix sell an IPTV family plan?

Not under that name. Families order an ordinary plan for the number of screens they use together, which costs less than giving each person a plan of their own.

How much does the second screen add?

Compared with one device, a plan for two adds $17 CAD on the monthly plan and $79 CAD on the annual plan.

What do the third and fourth screens add?

On the annual plan, going from two devices to three adds $71 CAD, and going from three to four adds $70 CAD. The plan cards show the price of every other combination.

Would separate plans ever be cheaper?

No. At each of the four lengths, one plan for several devices costs less than as many plans for one device. Three devices for a year, for instance, come to $248 CAD together and $294 CAD apart.

Can I mix a TV, a phone and a computer on one plan?

Yes. The plan counts devices, not kinds of device. Each one simply needs an IPTV player installed.

What exactly counts as one device?

One screen with an IPTV player on it, whatever its size: a television, a stick or a box plugged into one, a phone, a tablet, a computer. A plan for three covers three of them playing together.

How do I add or remove a screen?

At renewal. Each time, the renewal form has you state the number of devices again, so you can go up or down once your current plan ends.

Can I test several screens with the free trial?

The trial plays on one device. Use it to see how the picture holds on your own connection and what the channel list contains; the number of screens is easier to test with a one month plan.

Will my internet handle three or four screens?

Each playing screen needs its own stream, so the load grows with the number of screens. A stable connection, a wired main television and devices kept near the router are what make four screens comfortable.

Is a month or a year better for a household?

A year costs far less for each month: $20.67 for three devices, where the monthly plan costs $52.00. A month is the better choice only while you are still finding your number.

How do I order for three devices?

Select the 3 Devices tab above the plan cards and press Order Now on a plan. The order form opens with three devices already chosen.

How long until all my screens are working?

We contact you 5 to 15 minutes after your form reaches us, to check the order and arrange payment. Your access details follow, and from then on each screen takes as long as typing them into its player.

Does each screen get its own TV guide?

Yes. The guide opens inside the player on every device, so each viewer can check the schedule of any channel without touching what the others are watching.

Can one screen be on a film while the rest watch live channels?

Yes. To the plan, an on demand title and a live channel are both simply a stream. Any device can play either, in any combination.

Do I need a special app for multi screen IPTV?

No. Each device uses a standard IPTV player, the kind a single screen would use. Nothing has to link the devices to one another.

Is there one payment or one per device?

One. The card of each plan shows a single price for the number of devices selected, and that is the whole cost of the plan.

Can I give the screens different end dates?

No. A plan has one length for all its screens. Different end dates would need separate plans, and separate plans cost more.

What happens if everyone presses play together?

That is what the plan is for. Up to the number on your plan, every screen starts its own stream. A screen beyond that number is not covered.

Where do I find plans for a single device?

On the pricing page, which lists every length for every number of devices. This page deals with two devices and more.
